    An off-road poker run event

  • Basically...

    This is the first year of what could be many, so we welcome everyone to come enjoy themselves!

    So what is this thing?

    The 2019 Running of the Bulls is an all-day event that includes:

    • Poker Run (CASH ONLY)
    • FREE live entertainment 
    • FREE all-day riding on the event ground trails 
    • FREE Camper/Trailer parking
    • Beer Garden (+21 with I.D at the gate - CASH ONLY)
    • Food Vendors on site

    When and Where?

    Date: June 1st, 2019 (Saturday)

     

    Time: Poker Run Registration from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.- Departure time: 11:15 a.m.

    Live entertainment from 7-1 a.m.

     

    Location: (1 mile south of) 3448 176th St. Gorham, KS 67640

    The Poker Run

    A few things to keep in mind...

    • FREE Registration for the Run opens at 9 a.m. 
    • Departure for the Poker Run is set for 11:15 a.m.  ​
    • There will be 5 stopping points on the poker run.
    • The Poker Run will follow a mixed path of local country roads and pasture trails.
      • Recommended Vehicles: ATVs, RZRs, Utility vehicles, Dirt Bikes, Buggies, and any other off-road vehicles. 
    • DRIVE SAFE and have fun! Feel free to ask any of the event volunteers if you need some help!
     

    If you want in the run, then you are required to participate. Every vehicle needs a person buying cards.

    Card Prices

    • 1 card = $3
    • 2 cards = $5

    *Coolers are welcome.

    *The Poker Run will make an initial stop through Gorham for a chance to get gas, food, and beverages.

    (No glass bottles, please.)

    Other Shenanigans

    You shouldn't get bored...

     

    If poker isn't quite your thing, or you can't make it in time for the departure, then don't fret! There's other options.

     

    (The beer garden opens around noon...)

     

    We have off-road trails at the event grounds which are open to the public to ride on all day!

     

    • All ATVs, buggies, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, RZRs, and utility vehicles are welcome!

     

    You can also catch a good mix of some live entertainment later on in the evening!

    Whole 'lotta Guitar

    Strong Like Bull

    Rural Rock (9 p.m - 1 a.m)

    And finally, the band who helped fuel incentive into this event...

     

    STRONG LIKE BULL, a straight up Pure Rock n Roll band with rural roots in the land of motorcycle rallies, rod runs, and all night keg parties. Strong Like Bull is known for delivering foot-stomping, fist-pumping, ass kicking, high octane rock n roll and creating new fans at every show!

     

    Playing music from AC/DC, Jackyl, Buckcherry, Motley Crue, Shinedown, GnR, Metallica, and more. Strong Like Bull won the ABATE Labor Day Rally Battle of the Bands in 2018 and has opened for legendary Sturgis rally bands Jackyl and Zwarte.

    Free Overnight Parking Available

    Trailers, campers, RV's, and tents are all welcome! Feel free to spend the night!

    Portable generators are also allowed.

    Don't hurt yourself

    Some basic first aid will be kept on hand.

    A couple porta-potties will also be available.

    Dress appropriately for the ride!

    Problems getting around?

    Have a little too much to drink and need a lift to your campsite?

    We're offering free rides around the area!

    Just ask!

    Beer Garden

    CASH ONLY BAR

    Everyone 21+ will have the option, upon entry with a valid I.D, to receive a wrist band for the beer garden. You must have a wristband on to purchase alcohol.

    The bar is open from noon to midnight.

     

    We'll have water available too!

  • Some General Guidelines

    IMPORTANT

    CASH ONLY

    They only way you'll be able to purchase alcohol or cards during this event is if you have cash with you.

    Respect the property

    Waste bins will be placed around the location.

    Please use them.

    Stay on the designated trails, and again...

    no glass bottles.

    Engines off curfew

    As a safety precaution, we are going to enforce an engines off curfew when it starts to get dark.

    Please wear a helmet!

    Trust me. They really don't make you look that stupid.

    -Helmets are not required for the poker run, but they are highly encouraged!

    -Helmets are required for anyone under 18 on the sand pit trails.

    Come prepared

    Attendees are encouraged to pack a cooler full of necessities (food & water), bring sunscreen, umbrellas, chairs, anything you might need!

    We are not responsible if you hurt yourself.

    Risky areas will be blocked off. You must be the judge of your own riding ability.

    You will be required to sign a waiver upon entry relieving the property owners of liability.

    No signature, no entry.

    And please, no firearms.

    We reserve the right to kick anyone off our property.

    Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

    Please, leave the attitudes at the gate.

  • Directions/Contact

    Direction from Gorham: Head south on 176th for roughly 5 miles. When the black top turns left, you keep going straight for another 2.5 miles on the dirt road. You'll see the sand-pit on the right, and signs will be posted along the way.
